Prestige in the Time of Covid

Saturday, July 24th, 2021

With more than 80% of dog shows being cancelled due to the worldwide pandemic of Covid-19, Prestige still managed to get to some shows and is pleased to introduce four new champions.

Sophie

Prestige N Dakota’s Hold on my Heart, Sophie finished her championship just prior to the shutdown with her third major at the Dalmatian Club of Greater Indianapolis supported entry show.  Sophie is owned and lives with Sue Buse and is co-owned with Prestige.  We are planning a summer litter with her.

Blaze

BISS GCHB Prestige N CarriageHill’s Settin’ the World Afire, Blaze started and finished her championship just before the shutdown by only 8.5 months of age with three majors including a Best of Breed of multiple top ranked specials.  During the year she continued to show when she could and obtained her grand championship, her bronze grand championship and became a Top 20 Dalmatian in the country before 2020 ended.  Blaze is owned and lives with Amber Spradlin and is co-owned with Prestige.  We can’t wait to see what 2021 brings.

Kala

CH Prestige Island Song Kona Kala, Kala finished her championship with five majors during Covid-19 and took advantage of her limited outings by making them count.  She will start working on her grand championship and has already added multiple performance titles to her name including trick dog and barn hunt.  Kala is owned and lives with Denise and Larry Achram and is co-owned with Prestige.  We look forward to what the future holds in the conformation and performance rings and just maybe the whelping box.

Kona, Finally the Bride, is Prestige’s First Champion!!!

Thursday, May 19th, 2011

No more RWB’s for this girl! At the Trenton Kennel Club show on Sunday May 8th, 2011 (Mother’s Day), Beth Johnson’s liver bitch “Kona”, Erin N’ Gibson’s Summer Treasure CGC finished her championship going WB/BOW for her final major under Judge Inge Semenschin.

Kona is Beth’s first Champion. As many of you know, Kona has been the bridesmaid on numerous occasions, in fact so many reserves to majors that Beth has lost count at this point as well as going WB only to have the major break. So, this weekend Kona was finally the bride.

From start to finish all her points were owner handled, including a major Beth’s husband, Jason Rudolph, put on her when he brought her in for Winners Bitch at the Delaware Valley Dalmatian Club Supported Entry while Beth stayed on their other bitch. Kona loves going to dog shows and is always thrilled to be in the ring. Beth is so proud of her little Kona Bean!

Huge congratulations to Beth and Kona!
