DCGNY in the Ring

Yesterday at the Delaware Valley Specialty in Wrightstown, PA, under Judge Daniel J. Smyth, Heegee N Erin’s Sweet Inspiration, “Shelby” was awarded Winners Bitch for a four-point major. This is Shelby’s second major and second specialty win. She is co-owned by members Sharon Lyons, Peggy Rogan and Geri Rosen and was shown by Peggy. Yeah brown dog, brown dog, brown dog!

Erin N’ Gibson’s Summer Treasure, “Kona” took Reserve Winners Bitch. Kona is owned and usually shown by Beth Johson. Today, however, husband Jay Rudolph stepped in to help and performed yoeman’s service! Congratulations girls and Jay!

In sweepstakes, under judge Carol Rappaport Planett’s Della by Starlight, bred and owned by Barbara and Ed Barrett and handled by Ed, took Best Senior in Sweeps.

Also yesterday, May 30th, at the Ladies Dog Club in Wrentham, MA, under judge Eugene Blake Erin’s Say No More, “Mia” went Winners Bitch and Best of Winners to finish! Mia is co-owned by Sharon Lyons and was professionally handled. Taking Reserve Winners Dog was RK’s Xterra’s National Treasurer co-owned by Kathy Barber and Kris Kelso, shown by Kris. Best of Breed went to Ch. RK’s XTerra’s Makin’ Whoopee, “Riley”, co-owned by Kathy and Kris and professionally handled.

Today in Wrightstown, PA, at the Greater Philadelphia Dog Fanciers Association show under judge Donna J. Buxton, Erin’s Sweet Escape, “Libby”, took Winners Bitch, owned and shown by Sharon Lyons, who also took Reserve Winners Dog with JJ Leyton Luzio Mountain, “Luzio”. Heegee ‘N Erin’s Sweet Inspiration, “Shelby” took Reserve Winners Bitch and. Shelby is owned by Sharon Lyons, Peggy Rogan and Geri Rosen and was shown by Peggy.

On Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, 2009, Peggy Rogan found herself in the nice dilemma of having a dog and a bitch needing to go back into the ring for Best of Breed. Thankfully, Beth Johnson had come and was able to lend a hand.  Ch. Erin’s LuvMy Country Gentleman, “Liam”, took Best of Breed, under Steven Regan! Shown by Peggy, Liam is owned by Peggy and Sharon Lyons. Also at the Union County Kennel Club that day in Freehold, NJ, Heegee ‘N Erin’s Sweet Inspiration, “Shelby” took Winners Bitch and, with Beth’s helping hand, Best of Opposite. Shelby is owned by Sharon Lyons, Peggy Rogan and Geri Rosen.

On Sunday, May 24, 2009, in Freehold, NJ at the Plainfield Kennel Club under Mrs. Florence Males, Plannett’s Lucy Love, “Lucy”, co-owned by Barbara Barrett and bred by Barbara and Ed Barrett went Winners Btich, Best of Winners and Best of Breed to finish. Winners Dog was JJ Leyton Luzio Mountain, “Luzio”, co-owned by Sharon Lyons. Best of Opposite was Ch. Shamrock N. S.Xposur Rocketman, “Sean”, owned and bred by Jackie Quinn and Barb Garceau.

Ch. Shamrock N. S.Xposur Rocketman, “Sean”, took Best of Breed (under Robert Bruce Smith) and a Group 3 (under William Bergum) on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at the Monmouth Kennel Club in Freehold, NJ. Owned and bred by Jackie Quinn and Barb Garceau. A group placement the first time out as a special…”WooHoo Sean”!

Also on Saturday, Planett’s Rumours Will Fly, “Jackson”, owned and bred by Barbara and Ed Barrett took Winners Dog and Best of Winners to finish.

Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite was Erin’s Say No More, “Mia”, co-owned by Bailey Lyons.

Reserve Winners Dog was JJ Leyton Luzio Mountain, “Luzio”, co-owned by Sharon Lyons. Reserve Winners Bitch was Plannett’s Lucy Love, “Lucy” co-owned by Barbara Barrett and bred by Barbara and Ed Barrett.

Sean finished with a bang at the Mattaponi Kennel Club in Manassas, Virginia today with a three-point major…his FOURTH major! Sean,  Shamrock N. S.Xposur Rocketman, was bred by Jackie Quinn and Barb Garceau and was shown by Jackie out of the Bred By Exhibitor class. Sean is out of  Ch. Shamrock N. Erins Livin Lavida Loca “Ricky”  X Ch. Shamrock N.S.X.posur AnnEMae “T.T.” Congratulations Sean, Jackie and Barb!

Taking Reserve Winners Dog at the same show under judge Joan Scott was “Piper”,  Mt. View N. Erins Going Regimental, bred by Holly Ward and Sharon Lyons, owned by Sharon Lyons and Bailey Lyons and shown by Sharon Lyons.

For the second day in a row, Peggy Rogan showed Shelby,  Heegee’s N Erins Sweet Inspiration, to Reserve Winners Bitch. Shelby was bred by Geri Rosen and is owned by Geri Rosen, Sharon Lyons and Peggy Rogan.

Peggy also showed her Liam,  Ch. Erins Luvmy Country Gentleman, to take Best of Opposite. Liam was bred by Sharon Lyons and is owned by Sharon Lyons and Peggy Rogan, shown by Peggy.

Bet those Southerners were glad to see the tail lights of this group of northerners! Congratulations to all our DCGNY winners!

Today at the Greater Washington Dalmatian Club specialty in Manassas, VA (Mattaponi Kennel Club), Shamrock N S.xposur Rocket Man “Sean”, took Winners Dog and Best of Winners AND Best of Opposite under Judge M. Jean Lade for a five-point major (his third) and a specialty win! Owned by Jackie Quinn and Barbara Garceau and shown by Jackie, Sean only needs three points to finish. Way to go Jackie and Sean!

Taking Reserve Winners Bitch at the same show was “Shelby”, shown by Peggy Rogan. Shelby is Heegee N Erin’s Sweet Inspiration and is owned by Sharon Lyons, Peggy Rogan and Geri Rosen. She was shown by Peggy. Good girl Shelby!

Photographer Alex Aristei happened to be staying at the hotel in Kansas during the Dalmatian Club of America Nationals last month (April, 2009). Yesterday he posted a number of photos he took while there on his blog, which can be found at Dalmatians at the Holidome. Above is his picture of member Sharon Lyons (right) and her granddaughter, Bailey.  While competing at the Nationals, Sharon’s JJ Leyton Luzio Mountain, “Luzio” took 3rd place in the Open Black Dog class!

I was very pleased, not to mention surprised, when Moira, Shamrock N Erin’s Nothin’ Like a Dame (co-owned by me and Jackie Quinn), went Winners Bitch and Best of Winners for a three-point major today at Bucks County Kennel Club under Judge Robert R. Frost. She showed beautifully…one of her good days! This makes her third major! Thirteen points down…only two to go! While I wait for the photographer’s picture, I had Chris snap this one out in the back yard when I got home.

Beth Johnson’s Kona, Erin N’ Gibson’s Summer Treasure, took Reserve Winners Bitch. Good girl, Kona! She’s due for that final major!!!

Today at the Pioneer Valley Kennel Club in West Springfield, MA, under judge Dr. Michael T. Manning, S.xposur N Dynasty’s Chasin Neon Rainbows, “AJ”, took Winners Dog to FINISH! AJ is by Ch Dynasty’s I’m One – Ch Southern Exposure Abby Of Bedlam CDX RE. Owners and breeders are Barbara & David Garceau & Jacquelyn Quinn. Congratulations to the new Champion!

Also at Springfield today, “Shelby“, Heegee ‘N’ Erin’s Sweet Inspiration earned another point taking Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite. Expertly handled by Peggy Rogan, owned by Sharon Lyons, Peggy Rogan and Geri Rosen. Breeder: Geri Rosen.
